Great Northern Diver, West Warwick, January / February 2009
This juvenile Great Northern Diver Gavia immer was found by Laurence Bodini on the West Warwick (the south-westernmost of Walthamstow Reservoirs) on 24th January, often giving fantastic views and staying until 3rd February, when it relocated just a couple of kilometres west to Stoke Newington reservoirs in Hackney.
In the lower picture, the regular Mediterranean Gull is present on the bank on the left.
